About the Role

The Territory Services Manager joins the Central Canada team, reporting to the Maintenance Manager. This role coordinates maintenance requirements and costs, manages repair and maintenance operations, and ensures work efficiency and adherence to company standards. The manager achieves financial objectives through budget preparation, variance analysis, and corrective actions. Key responsibilities include maintaining a high-quality service technician team through recruitment, training, and performance management, staying updated on industry standards, and contributing to overall team objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with management, production personnel, tradesmen, and technicians to identify current and future maintenance requirements and costs.
  • Complete maintenance operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees, negotiating and hiring contractors, and following up on work results.
  • Resolve maintenance problems by conferring with management, engineering, and quality control personnel.
  • Manage repair and maintenance operations, including determining priorities, scheduling repairs, maintenance schedules, and equipment installation.
  • Ensure cost-effective repairs by examining records, reports, and operating practices.
  • Achieve financial objectives through annual budget preparation, expenditure scheduling, variance analysis, and initiating corrective actions.
  • Manage maintenance operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing program and operational policies and procedures.
  • Ensure work is performed within company standards by inspecting for quality and cost-effectiveness.
  • Maintain staff by recruiting, selecting, and orienting employees.
  • Maintain high-quality results of service technician staff through training, coaching, counseling, disciplining, planning, monitoring, and appraising job results.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reading professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.
  • Contribute to the Facilities team by accomplishing related results as requested.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Degree in business or a relevant field, or an equivalent combination of experience and education.
  • 5-7 years of experience in facility maintenance or a related field.
  • Demonstrated leadership ability.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Self-directed.
  • Customer service oriented.
  • Current valid driver’s license with a clean abstract.
  • Ability to work 40-60% in the local region (in the field).
  • Ability to travel to Toronto Support Office as required.
