About the Role

The Sales and Service Banker acts as a trusted advisor, building customer relationships by understanding financial needs and providing tailored solutions for banking, lending, and investment products. This role focuses on delivering exceptional customer service, minimizing risk, defending against fraud, and proactively engaging customers with financial needs, teller transactions, cross-sell opportunities, issue resolution, and digital banking education. Collaboration with team members is essential to achieve branch sales targets and contribute to the bank's overall success.

Responsibilities

  • Meet the financial needs of customers, including transactional, servicing, and product requirements.
  • Identify opportunities to grow banking relationships through branch activities, including calls, transactions, account support, portfolio management, and partner referrals.
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships to understand financial needs and provide tailored solutions.
  • Collaborate with team members and partners to achieve branch goals and drive overall performance.
  • Ensure an elevated customer experience, delivering personalized, seamless, and attentive service.
  • Foster customer loyalty by addressing concerns and providing timely resolutions.
  • Engage customers with digital platforms to enhance interactions and educate them on self-service options.
  • Communicate clearly and effectively with customers in person, over the phone, or through digital channels.
  • Perform teller transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, and transfers, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
  • Handle cash and maintain accurate cash drawer balances.
  • Assist with custodianship, audits, and other operational tasks.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and internal policies related to risk and fraud defense.
  • Support nearby branch locations based on business necessity.

Requirements

  • 12+ Months Experience selling products and/or services.
  • 6+ Months Experience in Retail Banking sales, financial services sales or consultative relationship sales role in a related industry, with proven success in establishing new customers, deepening customer relationships and delivering results.
  • 6+ Months Demonstrated successful Santander experience related to the essential functions and responsibilities of the role, with District Executive, District Operations Manager and Region President endorsement of performance.
  • 6+ Months Customer service experience within a high volume, fast paced and constantly changing environment.
  • 6+ Months Cash handling experience.
  • Established work history or equivalent demonstrated through a combination of work experience, training, military service, or education (preferred).
  • Experience in Microsoft Office products (preferred).
  • Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis without requiring employer sponsorship to commence employment.

Salary/Compensations

  • $34,500.00 USD - $53,000.00 USD
