About the Role

Activate is a full-scale interactive gaming facility seeking a General Manager to expand its team. The role involves working with the Assistant Manager and Game Facilitators. The ideal candidate possesses strong customer service skills, works well independently and in a team, and has a curiosity for tech and gaming.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations, interpreting and communicating company goals.
• Develop and implement company initiatives for business growth.
• Enhance brand awareness and drive sales through local events and marketing campaigns.
• Engage with customers via email and phone.
• Participate in business meetings, training, and skill development.
• Assist with customer check-ins, payments, and coach team members on customer satisfaction.
• Schedule shifts to ensure meaningful customer interactions during gaming.
• Create positive customer impressions with high energy.
• Prioritize and ensure customer satisfaction.
• Proactively greet and interact with all customers.
• Receive and communicate customer suggestions for business process improvement.
• Manage scheduling to ensure proper staffing during peak periods.
• Lead new employee hiring and develop a talent pipeline for all roles.
• Oversee employees, providing formal and informal coaching.
• Create staff development plans.
• Aid in training, evaluations, and development of new and current employees.
• Ensure optimal operation of gaming facilities.
• Perform regular inspections of front desk and gaming areas.
• Complete weekly and monthly checklists for inventory maintenance.
• Communicate facility issues to the appropriate department.
• Perform daily cleaning and maintenance in compliance with company standards.
• Manage and oversee facilitating activities for front desk and gaming areas.
