About the Role

Join the Embedded QA team as an Associate QA Engineer within the Device Platform group, collaborating with cross-functional teams in an agile environment. Advocate for quality, verify and validate products, analyze risks, and automate tests from planning to deployment. Contribute to enhancing automation infrastructure, developing test fixtures, and executing various tests for new features.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and execute automated test scripts within existing frameworks to expand automation coverage for new firmware features and connectivity protocols.
  • Perform comprehensive system-level testing, including functional, integration, regression, and performance testing for embedded firmware, hardware interaction, and application software.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot lab testing infrastructure and test tools, ensuring hardware setups are reliable for automated runs.
  • Collaborate closely with embedded software engineers to improve code testability and define test requirements.
  • Develop and maintain clear documentation for testing patterns, best practices, test plans, test cases, bug reports, and research findings.
  • Participate in all Agile activities, including sprint planning, code reviews, and design discussions, to ensure quality is embedded throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Represent the QA team in cross-functional gatherings and advocate for quality in decision-making.

Requirements

  • Critical thinker with a passion for quality and software testing.
  • Natural curiosity and resourcefulness to find problems and provide creative solutions.
  • Strong coding skills in Python, C, or C++.
  • Experience with Embedded Firmware.
  • Experience with software testing techniques, methodologies, and tools.
  • Experience using Selenium, Robot Framework, or similar frameworks.
  • Experience with electronic design and PCB layouts.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins and/or GitHub Actions.
  • Enjoy working in an agile environment.
