About the Role
This field-based role involves hands-on repairs, preventative maintenance, and facility support for modern, standardized commercial kitchen facilities. It offers a clear growth path into Senior Technician or Facilities Management roles within a fast-growing industry.
Responsibilities
- Perform general repairs including drywall, patching, painting, tiling, basic masonry, shelving, equipment installation, floor repairs, and exterior maintenance.
- Conduct routine preventative maintenance on HVAC, plumbing, and electrical building systems.
- Identify and prevent costly breakdowns through early issue detection.
- Travel between multiple sites across the Bay Area to provide site operations support.
- Troubleshoot and resolve day-to-day facility issues.
- Partner with internal teams to ensure kitchens remain fully operational.
- Dedicate 60% of time to hands-on repairs and maintenance.
- Dedicate 25% of time to preventative maintenance.
- Dedicate 15% of time to inspections, troubleshooting, and support.
Requirements
- 2+ years of handyman, maintenance, or facilities experience.
- Basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, field-based role.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- 3+ years of commercial facilities maintenance experience (preferred).
- Experience in restaurants, hospitality, or multi-site environments (preferred).
- HVAC/R experience or trade school background (preferred).
