About the Role
Assist clients in a safe environment for recovery. Maintain safety, integrity, and security of the extended recovery program. Document daily activities and perform administrative functions to support program operations.
Responsibilities
- Perform duties according to policy, procedure, and philosophy of care.
- Observe all persons entering and exiting the building.
- Document, inform, and report all incidents and daily activities during shift.
- Maintain a safe, secure, responsive, inclusive, and non-discriminatory environment for clients.
- Maintain professional and ethical boundaries with clients.
- Demonstrate punctuality, flexibility, and reliability.
- Answer facility telephone, take messages, and direct callers.
- Facilitate medication observation according to policy.
- Support residence searches for contraband.
- Ensure clients adhere to dress code, avoid restricted areas, and wear identification.
- Enforce client house rules, procedures, and protocols.
- Distribute sorted client mail as outlined.
- Perform regular security and wellness checks throughout the facility and shift.
- Assist the Clinical Team with urine analysis and breath alcohol testing.
- Adhere to client privacy and integrity protocols for samples.
- Assist in emergency disaster responses, drills, and actual emergencies.
- Respond to unusual incidents with stakeholder notification.
- Respond to calls for assistance from other departments.
- Assist in client admissions and exits as directed by the Program Director.
- Maintain structured priorities within changing project scopes.
- Assist with sanitization of program high-touch surfaces.
- Provide verbal and written communication for Spanish-speaking participants if bilingual.
- Perform other related duties as required.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- CA Driver's License (preferred).
- Bilingual in Spanish (preferred).
- First Aid and CPR certification within 14 days of employment.
- Tuberculosis clearance within 14 days of employment.
- Experience working with substance abuse, mental illness, and barriers to self-sufficiency.
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
Skills
- Bilingual in Spanish (preferred).
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and modern office equipment.
- Integrity to handle sensitive and confidential information.
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to multi-task with follow-through.
- Cultural competence to work with diverse populations.
- Knowledge of co-occurring disorders and trauma-informed environments.
Experience Level
- Experience working with substance abuse, mental illness, and barriers to self-sufficiency.
Education Level
- High school diploma or equivalent.
