About the Role

Join a product company in the sports media and gaming space as a Product Designer. This role is critical for scaling and maintaining the Design System, Alley-oop, enabling feature designers and developers to scale products reliably and efficiently.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the Design System, Alley-oop, collaborating with product designers, product managers, engineers, and stakeholders.
  • Create and maintain foundational patterns, UI components, and documentation, adhering to accessibility standards.
  • Support product designers by creating reusable, adaptable interactive components leveraging variants, design tokens, and component properties.
  • Optimize Figma libraries by anticipating component and style impact.
  • Advocate for Alley-oop and support its adoption across cross-functional teams.
  • Communicate and articulate design decisions and processes effectively.
  • Be receptive to feedback, explore iterations, and provide objective feedback to other product designers.
  • Shape the Design System roadmap and governance model to improve team and organizational processes.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Requirements

  • Strong portfolio showcasing Design System shaping and end-to-end experience, driven by design thinking and user research.
  • Desire to develop design leadership skills through mentorship, feedback, design communication, and setting execution standards.
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify user problems and develop impactful solutions.
  • Ability to work autonomously and proactively, knowing when to collaborate for swift progress.
  • Comfortable leading workshops or presentations on complex concepts for technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Experience designing for web and native platforms, including WCAG compliant and accessible design.
  • 3+ years of experience designing digital products and experiences, including native iOS and Android apps.
