About the Role

The Taxation & Compensation Specialist provides administrative and analytical support to the Taxation and Partner Compensation team. This role assists with the preparation, reconciliation, and distribution of partner compensation and tax-related documents. The specialist ensures data accuracy, maintains records, and supports compliance with firm policies and relevant tax regulations, working under senior team supervision to meet deadlines and deliver high-quality service.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in preparing and organizing partnership tax return schedules and documents.
  • Support distribution and tracking of Partner K-1 forms and respond to routine partner inquiries.
  • Provide administrative support for the Partner Loan Program (PLP), including data entry and document management.
  • Reconcile partner account balances and assist with true-up calculations under senior staff direction.
  • Assist with semi-monthly exception calculations for Partners.
  • Assist with year-end reconciliation for partner equity accounts and related tax filings.
  • Monitor and summarize tax law updates as directed by senior team members.
  • Assist with true-up payment calculations.
  • Coordinate meeting scheduling, document collection, and communication for tax return and audit processes.
  • Support compensation review cycles, including data integrity, system set-up, communications, and pay change submission review.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • 4-year degree with major coursework in a related field or equivalent work experience.
  • 1+ years of experience in Accounting and/or Finance.
  • Some experience in a tax-related field.
  • Experience with K-1's and partnership business models in a large legal or professional services financial department (preferred).
  • Knowledge of domestic accounting and tax guidelines/standards (preferred).
