About the Role

Support the Energy and Construction Claims team by effectively processing and settling claims and delivering a quality claims service to internal and external clients.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure claims are settled within specific handling times and clients are updated on progress.
  • Manage and promptly resolve all assigned external and internal queries.
  • Provide support to team members as required.
  • Manage own workload and time to maximize efficiency.
  • Ensure deadlines and targets are met.
  • Deal with claim notifications.
  • Review claim details, acknowledge clients/intermediaries, prepare claims files accurately, and maintain in-house and external computerized claims records.
  • Produce and present claims information to insurers, and handle resultant instructions, queries, and inquiries.
  • Monitor insurers' agreement and payment of funds, ensuring payments are made to the appropriate beneficiary.
  • Ensure relevant insurer's instructions are notified to clients/experts and vice versa.
  • Build meaningful relationships with clients, experts, and insurers through prompt, friendly, and professional interactions.
  • Build effective liaison with placing colleagues, including providing claims statistics for renewal.
  • Build effective liaison with accounting colleagues regarding fund collection/payment, queries, and clearance of accounting entries.
  • Attend internal and external meetings as required.

Requirements

  • Good GCSE/A level grades or relevant degree.
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong numeracy skills.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Positive, enthusiastic, and confident disposition.
  • Ability to prioritize and proactively meet deadlines.
  • Client-focused with a commitment to high-quality service delivery.
