About the Role

Oversee daily shipping department operations, ensuring accurate domestic and international item preparation and shipment. Provide hands-on support for warehouse operations and teamwork. Manage at least ten shipping associates, leads, and supervisors across shipping and packaging departments. Maintain workflow processes and foster team success through collaborative management.

Responsibilities

• Organize loading dock daily for receiving and shipping.
• Provide daily schedules to staff for scheduled orders to be shipped.
• Manage production and cleanup of shipped jobs.
• Order shipping supplies.
• Organize and set up drops for packing with the packing team.
• Run drop shipments for FedEx, UPS, and USPS.
• Coordinate daily truck deliveries and pickups with the receiving team.
• Manage weekly transfer trucks.
• Create Bills of Lading (BOLs) for transfer trucks.
• Prioritize daily backhaul tracking.
• Manage international and domestic shipping, including UPS, Canada, and delivery trucks.
• Complete Canada and international paperwork.
• Follow routing guides and schedule outbound shipments.
• Coordinate LTL bookings for customer orders across the US.
• Provide daily spreadsheets of completed orders from the previous day.
• Provide quotes to Customer Service for future orders.
• Oversee accurate and timely fulfillment and quality of all customer orders.
• Collaborate with other managers to request resources.
• Adhere to safety and quality control SOPs and facilitate safety processes.
• Communicate operational status, safety, and process issues to management.
