About the Role

This Director role holds overall P&L accountability for the credit card product portfolio. Responsibilities include defining strategy and roadmaps for feature enhancements to grow purchase volume and account receivables, increase customer engagement, and ensure compliance and resiliency. The role builds and maintains strategic relationships, operates within risk tolerance, and leads a team to achieve business objectives. As a leader, this position drives change and establishes cross-functional collaboration for product management discipline.

Responsibilities

  • Own the P&L for the PC Mastercard product line, defining vision, managing strategy, and setting annual plans to grow purchase volume and revolving balances.
  • Manage all aspects of the product portfolio, including sales, market share analysis, research, portfolio metrics reporting, pricing, revenue optimization, and competitive positioning.
  • Collaborate with Credit Risk, Acquisition, Customer Engagement, Operations, Finance, and Treasury to ensure alignment with performance metrics.
  • Establish and monitor key KPIs for purchase volume, balance growth, customer engagement, and overall portfolio performance, leveraging analytics for proactive tactics.
  • Develop and launch new products or features with a digital-first approach.
  • Evaluate the current product portfolio based on evolving customer needs, competitive offerings, and regulatory changes.
  • Leverage an agile framework for planning, execution, and evaluation of projects and feature enhancements, coaching the team on agile methodologies.
  • Establish and maintain cross-enterprise and third-party partnerships, evaluating opportunities to improve product desirability.
  • Provide ongoing strategy, visibility, and business progress to senior leadership through business reviews and portfolio updates.
  • Recruit and lead a high-performing team, fostering a culture of collaboration and ownership.
  • Stay informed on regulatory changes to ensure departmental procedures, projects, and practices comply with regulations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, or Engineering
  • 8+ years of professional experience, preferably in credit cards, unsecured lending, or payments
  • Experience developing and implementing customer-centric strategies and tactics
  • Proven ability to manage and prioritize multiple strategic initiatives while managing cross-enterprise stakeholders
  • Experience in loyalty programs (asset)
