About the Role

Support the Civil Liberties team by managing all new enquiries, including incoming/outgoing calls and email/website submissions. This role involves understanding client requirements, liaising with fee earners, and providing signposting information.

Responsibilities

  • Receive incoming calls
  • Make outgoing calls
  • Manage enquiries submitted via email/website
  • Deal with all new enquiries within the department
  • Gain insight into client requirements through careful listening and questioning
  • Assist clients as far as possible
  • Liaise with fee earners to determine case viability
  • Complete accurate written attendance notes of calls
  • Log attendance notes on systems
  • Circulate attendance notes to reviewing fee earners
  • Provide signposting information for unassisted enquiries

Requirements

  • Ability to handle a high volume of incoming calls
  • Ability to manage information
  • Ability to interact with diverse and vulnerable clientele sensitively and professionally
  • Previous legal work experience
  • Previous experience working with vulnerable clients
