About the Role

Join our Boston studio as a Designer III, contributing to team success by adhering to firm and project goals and design excellence. Our studio values diversity, collaboration, and innovation, operating as a test lab.

Responsibilities

  • Develop creative and innovative design ideas, concepts, and solutions as an integral design team member.
  • Coordinate drawings for schematic design, design development, and construction documents.
  • Analyze product research and identify material selections.
  • Actively craft client and non-client design presentations and prepare corresponding materials.
  • Implement a creative approach to complete project tasks within schedule and budget, in an organized, timely, and consistent manner.
  • Review work for accuracy, omissions, legibility, and document compliance with the Project Delivery Manual.
  • Support the growth of others.
  • Demonstrate curiosity about the design world and industry.
  • Take increasing ownership of tasks within project teams and studio activities.
  • Participate in design reviews, charettes, and pin-ups.
  • Maintain open and proactive communication, inspiring team members and designated team leaders.
  • Coordinate effectively with partners and consultants.

  • Prepare for ARE and actively involve in AXP.

Experience Level

  • 5-8 years of requisite experience

Education Level

  • LEED GA within 6 months of hire
  • Professional Accreditation in one area of Living Design (LEED AP with Specialty, BREEAM AP, WELL AP, SITES AP, Passive House Institute Certified Passive House Consultant/Designer CPHC/CPHD, or ILFI Living Future Accreditation)
  • Bachelor's degree in architecture or related discipline required

Salary/Compensations

  • $78,900 - $100,700
