About the Role

The DRE is responsible for design from concept to release for vehicle program components, systems, and sub-systems. This role requires building strong partnerships with internal and external teams involved in design, validation, procurement, and manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Lead projects according to client requirements and manage offshore teams in India.
• Serve as the primary liaison between project teams, ensuring alignment on technical specifications, timelines, and budgetary goals.
• Foster collaboration and communication with internal/external engineers and suppliers in Japan, India, and the US for project support.
• Coordinate project stakeholders, facilitate technical reviews, resolve scope issues, and ensure a unified project vision.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in automotive interior/exterior resin parts design and development (soft and hard trim).
• 5+ years of experience with an OEM or Tier 1 supplier in interior/exterior resin parts development.
• 3+ years of experience leading teams in project management (technical guidance, schedule, quality).
• Japanese-English bilingual skills (JLPT N3 or higher).
• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Teams).

Skills

• CATIA V6 (3DEXPERIENCE) including Generative Shape Design (GSD), Part Design, Assembly Design, and Drafting.
• Solid / surface modeling.
• Mechanical drafting.
• Understanding of automotive development schedules.
• Thorough understanding of resin parts manufacturing processes.
• DFMEA.
• GD&T.
• Cumulative tolerance analysis.
• Honda parts development experience (preferred).
