About the Role
The Client Relationship Manager (CRM) understands financial products and services, delivering the full bank offering and driving primacy in client relationships. This role identifies prospects in target markets and manages a client portfolio of standard to moderate complexity. Responsibilities include developing sales pipelines, engaging in client planning, conducting sales calls, and qualifying opportunities with due diligence. This position is specific to the Growth segment of Canadian Commercial Banking, serving clients with annual sales between $5MM-$15MM and credit authorizations from $1MM-$5MM.
Responsibilities
- Partner with Credit Solution Associate on credit portfolio for authorizations up to $5MM.
- Partner with Service team to ensure satisfactory client onboarding.
- Promote the development and profitable growth of the Canadian Commercial Banking portfolio in the assigned market area.
- Conduct sales planning activities.
- Execute business development strategies.
- Build relationships with partners, existing, and new clients.
- Perform initial analysis and collaborate with the credit team on credit applications.
Requirements
- Strong proven experience pursuing a business development program within an assigned market area.
- Two to four years of previous work experience within commercial banking and business development.
- Proven record of strong sales/closing skills.
- Strong market network.
- Top-notch negotiation skills.
- Good commercial credit skills.
- Strong knowledge of the Bank’s commercial lending and deposit products and services.
- Strong knowledge of the customer profitability model to provide integrated financial solutions.
- Ability to travel within the assigned territory.
