About the Role
The successful candidate will support the team by undertaking daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly administrative and support tasks. This role offers an opportunity to enter or progress within the London insurance market, including mentorship from senior team members through learning and development opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Provide administrative support for claims tasks as directed.
- Manage assigned work, tasks, and projects with minimal supervision.
- Ensure high-quality work, meeting deadlines and service levels.
- Perform claim set-up, data entry, file updates, and diary management in claim systems.
- Process claims payments and update claim files as instructed.
- Assist with processing transactional claims.
- Monitor centralized claim mailboxes.
- Support claim analysts and management with specific tasks, accounts, and lines of business as required.
- Conduct reviews of aged and static claims as required.
- Process claims bordereau where required.
- Generate and distribute claims data and MI reports as requested.
- Assist with internal and external audits as required.
- Engage with other departments, including underwriting and finance.
- Perform other claims operational, claim-specific tasks, duties, and project work.
- Perform role in accordance with financial services law, regulations, guidance, fitness and probity standards, and conduct standards.
Requirements
- Prior experience within the London insurance/Lloyds market in an operational or administration role (advantageous).
- Proficiency in Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Ability to manage diverse tasks and meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team.
- Self-motivated and performance-driven.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to engage with stakeholders, departments, brokers, and insured parties.
- Outstanding organizational skills and ability to multitask.
- Quick learner with a desire for continuous self-improvement.
- Willingness to pursue or currently progressing towards insurance qualifications/certificates.
