About the Role

Join Spotify's Sales team to build relationships and grow the business in existing and new markets, shaping creative solutions for clients and partners using expert knowledge of ad products, sales channels, and the industry. The US Agency Team drives innovative strategic partnerships for agency partners and advertisers, focusing on trust, business outcomes, and revenue. This team operates at the intersection of media, technology, and commercial strategy, guiding partners through the evolving advertising landscape. The US Agency Development Lead will oversee strategic partnerships with major Agency partners and support the development and implementation of scaled strategic Agency programs, building and executing joint business plans and initiatives to drive results.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee internal and external partnership stakeholders, serving as the main point of contact for Agency partnership teams
  • Identify new revenue growth opportunities and develop action plans
  • Develop and implement Joint Business Plan (JBP) priorities with cross-functional partners
  • Partner with Agency Trading, Investment, Activation, and Product teams to accelerate adoption of Spotify's automation, self-service, and programmatic buying solutions
  • Advise cross-functional partners on Agency needs to drive revenue growth, identify gaps, opportunities, and share successes
  • Serve as a strategic consultant on emerging areas like Ads Manager, programmatic, measurement, data collaboration, AI-enabled workflows, and evolving agency operating models
  • Evangelize Spotify and Spotify Advertising initiatives with agency partnership stakeholders
  • Manage internal and external partnership communications, including market updates, toolkits, partnership playbooks, and reporting
  • Lead the internal community of cross-functional partners supporting agencies and advertisers for complex projects
  • Project manage scalable programs including education, data/insights workstreams, tool management, and innovation-driven agency initiatives
  • Inform future partnership development and innovation program initiatives

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience driving revenue growth, strategic partnerships, and business development across media platforms, advertising technology, or related fields
  • Experience with major Agency holding companies, platform-based media, advertising technology, programmatic, or digital advertising businesses (preferred)
  • Deep understanding of modern digital media buying ecosystems, including self-service advertising platforms, programmatic, ad tech, data-driven activation, and measurement solutions
  • Strategic operator with a service mindset
  • High emotional intelligence and self-awareness
  • Strong executive presence, engaging C-level and mid-level executives
  • Comfortable discussing commercial strategy with Agency executives and technical platform capabilities with Trading, Activation, Product, and Operations teams
  • Comfortable with ambiguity, navigating sophisticated, matrixed organizations, influencing others, and building trust
  • Passion for developing and delivering high-impact presentations and leading education programs
  • Comfortable discussing advertising technology, automation, measurement, data collaboration, and AI-driven workflows with commercial and technical stakeholders
  • Strong understanding of digital advertising platforms, audience and measurement solutions, automation, programmatic buying, and data-driven activation, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear business value
  • Strong understanding of modern advertising buying, including automation, self-service platforms, programmatic activation, data-driven optimization, and emerging AI-enabled workflows
  • Ability to help agencies evolve media planning, buying, and optimization in an automated ecosystem
