About the Role
Join the Wealth & Investment Management Technology Platform team to power trade management settlements, clearing, and reconciliation systems. Gain hands-on experience with modern engineering and SRE practices, supporting production platforms, troubleshooting issues, and improving system reliability. Responsibilities
- Participate in low to moderately complex initiatives and projects, including installation, upgrades, and deployment efforts
- Identify opportunities for service quality and availability improvements within the technology domain environment
- Design, code, test, debug, and document for low to moderately complex projects and programs, including upgrades and deployments
- Review and analyze technical assignments or challenges related to low to medium risk deliverables, requiring research, evaluation, and selection of alternative technology domains
- Present recommendations for resolving issues or escalate issues as needed to meet established service level agreements
- Exercise independent judgment while developing understanding of technology domain security and compliance requirements
- Provide information to technology colleagues, internal partners, and stakeholders
Requirements
- 2+ years of software engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education
- 2+ years of experience in application/platform support, troubleshooting complex production and system issues
- Experience with observability tools such as Splunk, AppDynamics, and ThousandEyes
- Familiarity with ITIL processes, including incident, problem, and change management
- Experience with job scheduling and monitoring tools (e.g., AutoSys) and database query tools (SQL)
- Familiarity with monitoring and visualization platforms such as Grafana
- Experience working in Agile environments, including use of Kanban boards
- Exposure to CI/CD and platform technologies such as Harness, OpenShift, and/or Kubernetes
- Basic understanding of system architecture, including APIs, microservices, and distributed systems
- Experience supporting cloud or hybrid environments (e.g., Azure, AWS, or OpenShift)
- Experience with scripting or automation (e.g., Python, PowerShell, Bash) to improve operational efficiency
- Experience supporting batch processing and job monitoring in production environments
- Ability to analyze logs, metrics, and traces to identify root causes and performance trends
- Experience participating in on-call rotations and handling Sev1/Sev2 production incidents
- Understanding of Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles, including SLAs, SLIs, and SLOs
- Experience defining or improving monitoring, alerting, and dashboards
- Strong ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders and vendor partners
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills
- Effective written and verbal communication across technical and business teams
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced production environment
- Ability to work on-site at posted location
