About the Role
The Coordinator, Nursery School Operations supports the Director of Curriculum and Education Operations, ensuring the school's front office operates smoothly and provides a welcoming environment for students, families, faculty, and staff.
Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of the Nursery School front office.
- Act as the first point of contact for the school, welcoming visitors.
- Respond to all inquiries professionally and ensure timely responses.
- Support the Director of Admissions and the Executive Director of the Nursery School.
- Oversee the school admissions process.
- Participate in informational sessions, school tours, and related tasks.
- Manage digital files for students and families, including confidential medical and financial information.
- Maintain and update health forms, billing, and educational requirements.
- Manage classroom budgets, including ordering supplies.
- Track, reconcile, and settle invoices in the digital accounts payable system.
- Serve as the primary interdepartmental point of contact.
- Liaise between parents and school regarding all aspects of school life.
- Draft and proofread correspondence.
- Receive and disseminate information between students, families, faculty, and staff.
- Create and plan department events with school administrators, ensuring complete planning, organization, and execution.
- Complete other departmental duties and tasks as assigned.
Requirements
- Ability to interact positively with discretion and diplomacy with all stakeholders.
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
- Proficiency using Microsoft Office, Zoom, and Brightwheel.
- Working knowledge of media equipment (projectors, scanners, copiers, printers).
- Ability to organize, prioritize, and execute responsibilities while managing conflicting priorities and deadlines.
- Excellent written, oral communication, and presentation skills.
- An interest in early childhood education.
- Commitment to the mission and goals of 92NY and the Nursery School.

Work Type
- Full-time
- 40 hours per week
- Monday – Friday, 8:00 – 5:00 p.m.
- Includes a 1-hour unpaid lunch break
- Follows the school calendar
- Concludes by July 1st
- Resumes mid-August
Experience Level
- 3+ years’ administrative experience, preferably in a school or educational environment
Education Level
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Experience in Early Childhood Education a plus
Salary/Compensations
- $45,000 - $50,000
