Responsibilities

  • Provide high-level customer service.
  • Accurately record customer transactions using electronic cash registers, mainline, and self-checkouts.
  • Replenish merchandise in the checkout area.
  • Monitor hot-selling items, complete markdowns, and SKU changes.
  • Maintain planograms, labels, tickets, and signing standards.
  • Perform cycle counts as required.
  • Ensure policy compliance for Tobacco and Lottery sales.
  • Follow health and safety policies and guidelines.
  • Maintain a clean and organized checkout work area.
  • Adhere to Loss Prevention best practices.

Requirements

  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Capability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to stand and/or walk.
  • Ability to bend, twist, and squat.
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 18 kg (40 lbs.).
  • Ability to perform tasks involving firm grasping.
  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks requiring a range of hand motions.
  • Ability to reach above shoulder height and below waist level.
  • Ability to operate equipment, including ladders.
  • Legally authorized to work in Canada and maintain authorization.

Salary/Compensations

  • $17.60 hourly rate
  • Annual bonus opportunity: 3% of earnings based on store performance
