About the Role
Reporting to the Director Services and Supports, the Manager Services and Supports leads and supervises, manages resources, ensures quality outcomes for supported individuals, and implements quality assurance measures to provide efficient and effective services for persons with Autism Spectrum Disorder and their families.
Responsibilities
- Support the Mission, Vision, Values, and Strategic Plan of Kerry’s Place.
- Adhere to manager responsibilities for Health & Safety as defined by OHSA and applicable regulations.
- Provide mentoring, coaching, training, and performance management for employees, completing annual Performance Development Plans.
- Develop, implement, and lead organizational change aligned with the Strategic Plan.
- Collaborate with Human Resources to ensure appropriate staffing through effective recruitment, selection, and orientation.
- Stay current with legislative requirements including the Employment Standards Act, Occupational Health and Safety Act, and Services and Supports to Promote the Social Inclusion of Persons with Developmental Disabilities Act.
- Adhere to the Collective Agreement, where applicable.
- Manage and report on operational budget variances with Finance Department support.
- Maintain operations within budget, including expenditure authorization.
- Ensure efficient operation and maintenance of assigned residential or community sites.
- Work collaboratively with multi-disciplinary resources to provide evidence-based supports and services.
- Ensure effective implementation of person-directed planning and achievement of individual goals.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with families, partner agencies, volunteers, government employees, and the community.
- Collaborate with community resources, including funded services and informal supports.
- Participate in internal and external committees and task forces.
- Ensure the health and safety of supported persons in accordance with Ontario Regulation 299/10 Quality Assurance Measures, Provincial, and Municipal regulations and by-laws.
- Maintain professional and up-to-date records for all persons served.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- 5 years of work experience in human services.
- Ability to complete Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) certification and perform required physical techniques.
- Availability for flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to provide on-call coverage, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Valid G2 Driver’s License, access to a reliable vehicle for frequent business travel, and proof of third-party liability insurance.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of the Developmental Services sector.
- Knowledge of Autism Spectrum Disorder and evidence-based treatment models and approaches.
- People management, including mentoring, coaching, training, and development.
- Competency in effective use of database systems.
- Knowledge of budgeting and employee scheduling (asset).
- Experience with residential/respite programs (preferred).
- French language (asset).

Salary/Compensations
- $71,214.00 - $89,037.00
