About the Role
The Client Reporting Analyst will establish cohesion between business units, IT stakeholders, and end users by managing the end-to-end process of creating and distributing tax documents. This role ensures the quality and timeliness of deliverables through analysis of complex tax reporting requirements, implementation of process controls, and facilitation of acceptance testing, achieved by ongoing review and support of the Tax Reporting Life Cycle.
Responsibilities
- Assist with Exempt Distributions Filing (Commencing January)
- Format and organize large data sets for filing to respective provinces
- Perform Tax Shell creation, Tax Factor review, entry, and QC
- Provide general assistance with Year-End tax slips, including batch closing/file generation, reconciliation, QC, and XML filing to CRA/MRQ
- Generate Estate tax slips
- Assist with generating end-of-year tax slips for CI Financial and Assante Wealth Management
- Perform other tasks as needed
Requirements
- Post Secondary Education
- Familiarity with basic accounting principles, with a focus on account reconciliations
- Previous Business Analyst experience an asset
- Experience with Canadian and US Tax Reporting an asset
- Canadian Securities Course or IFIC Operations Course an asset
- Working knowledge of CI products or Assante back office processes an asset
- Knowledge of testing practices and procedures an asset
- Bilingual in French and English an asset
- High level of proficiency with Microsoft Excel an asset

- Anticipated base salary range: $42,500 to $71,000
- Exact salary depends on experience, skills, education, and budget
