About the Role
The Research Analyst, Strategic Regulatory Expansion, will develop a research and insights function, contributing to Visa’s global license and network expansion, with a focus on real-time payments and cross-border flows. This role involves targeted desk research and analysis of the global payments and regulatory environment to assess market expansion opportunities and requirements. The analyst will build a repository of key data and content, provide tailored research, and support decision-making to accelerate Visa Direct's growth and revenue. This is a mid-senior stakeholder-facing role, requiring a proactive, curious, and collaborative individual with strong communication, writing, and presentation skills.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to the development of ongoing and ad-hoc research projects, including scoping research proposals, gathering and analyzing data, and delivering research to agreed targets.
- Analyze and provide clarity on payments system rules to identify market expansion opportunities and challenges, supporting crucial go-live activities.
- Serve as a point of contact for Visa Direct Product, Operations, Technology, and Treasury for research support, particularly global payment scheme analysis.
- Contribute to the development of key research assets, including competitor profiles and a regular market intelligence newsletter.
- Monitor and analyze market and competitor developments to identify trends, threats, and growth opportunities.
- Contribute to the creation of a central repository/database of market and regulatory information to support ongoing strategic development and market expansion initiatives.
- Assist on the Strategic Initiatives horizon scanning forum, detailing key regulatory and market updates for expansion decision-making.
- Assist in project management of Regulatory and Market Examinations for growth projects.
- Establish expertise as a subject matter expert.
