About the Role

We are seeking a Network Security Engineer to join the network security team to ensure that our infrastructure and networks are properly protected. This role involves designing, coordinating, and implementing security controls, auditing configurations, and designing networks in a hybrid compute environment. A successful candidate will demonstrate attention to detail and an understanding of how changes impact the network and associated services.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with cross-functional security, technology, and trading teams to design and deploy innovative solutions that enhance system integrity and trading performance.
Actively contribute to the design, implementation, and maintenance of mission-critical trading infrastructure.
Implement robust strategies to reduce network risks by leveraging micro-segmentation and port-based security.
Evaluate, diagnose, and implement effective network security solutions such as firewalls, network detect and response (NDR), intrusion prevention systems (IPS), and VPN concentrators.
Leverage automation, AI, and other emerging technologies to continuously enhance security event detection and response capabilities.
Perform in-depth analysis of network packet captures to investigate security incidents and identify areas for improvement.
Continuously seek opportunities to automate tasks and streamline security operations for improved efficiency and effectiveness.

Requirements

Passion for network security.
Experience designing, implementing, and supporting security systems that protect networks from emerging threats.
Hands-on experience with firewalls, client VPNs, SASE, NDR, and IDS solutions.
Ability to script and code to automate processes and reduce repetitive work.
Solid understanding of TCP, UDP, IP, the OSI Model, and Layer 1/2/3 principles.
Willingness to perform on-call duties, including nights or weekends.
Continuously seeking innovative improvements to drive high-quality, state-of-the-art, and effective security solutions.
Effective communication skills to translate complex technical insights into clear, actionable strategies for cross-functional teams.
