About the Role
Join the Platform and Technology teams as a Technical Program Manager to enhance the Fintech platform. This role focuses on ensuring engineers and stakeholders have necessary information, removing delivery impediments, and fostering continuous learning in agile and lean practices.
Responsibilities
- Understand and address impediments affecting engineers’ ability to deliver value quickly and sustainably.
- Support engineers and stakeholders in gathering requirements for developer workflows and tooling.
- Collaborate with internal and external teams to develop and maintain technical documentation.
- Ensure requirements are sufficiently detailed for sprint planning, including functional and non-functional aspects.
- Clearly define the definition of ready and definition of done.
- Work closely with Engineering and Product Managers to gather detailed requirements for new features and products.
- Facilitate the process of turning requirements (epics) into user stories and tasks with clear acceptance criteria.
- Improve flow efficiency and proactively unblock the scrum team during sprints.
- Manage stakeholder relationships and report operational delivery metrics.
- Lead program management of key technology and business roadmap initiatives.
- Ensure alignment with organizational goals and successful delivery of strategic projects.
- Facilitate standard agile ceremonies.
- Suggest improvements to agile ways of working to increase productivity and employee engagement.
- Foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement in agile and lean practices.
Requirements
- 5 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor's Degree.
- At least 2 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g., Masters, MBA, JD, MD).
- 0 years of work experience with a PhD.
- 6 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor's Degree (preferred).
- 4 or more years of relevant experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g., Masters, MBA, JD, MD) (preferred).
- Up to 3 years of relevant experience with a PhD (preferred).
- Experience working alongside infrastructure, DevOps, SRE, CI/CD, or similar technical teams.
- 4+ years’ proven experience in a Technical Program Manager, Scrum Master, or Business Analyst role.
- Experience in a software-first Fintech or start-up environment (preferred).
- Comfortable working with agile frameworks such as Scrum or Kanban.
- In-depth knowledge of agile processes and principles, with real experience in creating environments that adhere to them.
- Proven track record of removing impediments to deliver value for customers and the business.
- Ability to define a product backlog using standard categories such as epics and user stories.
- Accountable for getting things done.
- Naturally collaborative, with the ability to influence colleagues in small, cross-functional scrum teams.
- Able to adapt communication style and technical detail to suit the audience.
- Experience in a technical delivery role such as Software Engineer or QA Engineer (advantageous).
