About the Role
Join Transgrid's Talent Acquisition team to build the workforce for Australia's critical energy infrastructure. This hands-on, high-volume hybrid role, based in Ultimo, offers genuine autonomy and visibility. You will manage end-to-end recruitment, from initial briefing to onboarding, across diverse functions including professional, project, technical, and operational roles. Operating as a trusted advisor, you will provide market insights and practical options to support informed hiring decisions. This role is crucial for strengthening the workforce that operates and delivers Transgrid’s energy network, supporting Australia’s energy transition and serving communities.
Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end recruitment across professional, project, technical, operational, enabling support functions, and field-based roles
- Advise leaders on workforce requirements, sourcing, selection, remuneration, internal equity, and hiring decisions
- Identify and engage talent through proactive search, direct sourcing, market mapping, and pipeline development
- Manage candidate screening, shortlisting, selection, offer negotiation, and onboarding support
- Contribute to scalable recruitment campaigns, evolving recruitment technology, and broader P&C initiatives
Requirements
- Experience managing professional and/or high-volume recruitment from initial briefing through to onboarding
- Strong stakeholder management skills across senior, operational, and geographically dispersed groups
- Proven capability in proactive sourcing, candidate engagement, and talent pipeline development
- Sound judgement across assessment, selection, remuneration recommendations, and offer negotiation
- Excellent organisation and prioritisation skills, with a strong focus on pace, quality, and candidate care
- Ability to thrive in a growth environment and balance volume, complexity, and competing priorities
- Strong end-to-end recruitment capability and confidence to take ownership
- Critical thinking skills to work through problems logically and provide clear, considered recommendations
- Understanding that effective recruitment involves uncovering talent, engaging the market, and building trusted relationships
