About the Role

The Lead Technologist identifies innovative technology solutions to enable business operations. This role involves developing cloud-based infrastructure, including workstations, render farms, network, and storage, while improving efficiencies. Responsibilities

Identify innovative technology solutions to enable business.
Develop cloud-based infrastructure, including workstations, render farm, network, and storage, to improve efficiencies.
Collaborate with the Head of Technology to define strategic direction and deliver innovative technology solutions.
Lead technology projects from conception to final delivery.
Guide a team in solving complex technology challenges.
Implement innovative ideas from the wider team.

Requirements

Passion for innovative technology and business enablement.
Significant experience in a core technology team.
In-depth knowledge of editorial, post-production, and VFX workflows.
Knowledge of Render Farms and Render Management Software, specifically Deadline.
Experience with shared storage solutions and handling critical company data.
Knowledge of Linux, OSX, and Windows operating systems.
Proficiency in Python and Bash scripting.
Advantageous: Knowledge of Cloud technology and deployment/orchestration technologies.
