This is an upcoming opportunity for an Interaction Designer to join hedgehog lab on a contract basis. The role involves designing clear, accessible digital interactions for government services used by millions of people.
Responsibilities
- Own interaction design across features and flows, from early concepts to production-ready patterns.
- Work closely with user researchers, content designers, and developers to ship functional designs.
- Determine when to follow established patterns and when to challenge them.
Requirements
- Proven experience designing interactions for government or public sector services.
- Deep familiarity with the GOV.UK Design System and its application.
- A clear, evidence-based approach to design decisions.
- Understanding of accessibility standards (WCAG 2.2) and inclusive design practices.
