About the Role

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Assistant Restaurant Manager to join our management team at La Piazza. Working closely with the Restaurant Manager, you will play a key leadership role in driving service excellence, leading from the floor, and supporting the overall performance of the venue.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and motivate the team to deliver exceptional service every shift.
• Run the floor in a high-volume, fast-paced restaurant environment.
• Oversee daily operations, ensuring service, presentation, and compliance standards are met.
• Manage the guest experience from bookings through to service delivery.
• Support rostering, labor management, and operational efficiency.
• Collaborate effectively with kitchen and bar teams.
• Drive team performance and commercial outcomes.
• Maintain a strong focus on safety, RSA/RCG compliance, and WHS.

Requirements

• Proven ability to lead teams in a high-volume restaurant environment.
• Experience training and developing team members.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and peak periods.
• Current RSA & RCG (or willingness to obtain).

Skills

• Hands-on, floor-focused leadership style.
• Strong food & beverage knowledge, including bar operations.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Passion for delivering outstanding customer experiences.

Experience Level

• 2–3 years’ experience in a similar Assistant Manager / Supervisor role
