About the Role
Join the core technical team to prepare, test, and execute flight operations for a lunar lander mission. Develop command procedures, telemetry displays, processes, and checklists for spacecraft control from the Mission Control Center. Collaborate with engineering teams to translate designs into operational procedures. Optimize and verify flight segment products using tools like Jira, GitLab, and AI. Contribute to mission-critical ground and flight systems for ispace’s next lunar mission.
Responsibilities
- Participate in spacecraft design discussions.
- Develop standardized Python scripts for spacecraft command and telemetry.
- Write comprehensive unit tests for CI/CD.
- Contribute to training material for procedure development.
- Create Confluence checklists for operations execution.
- Develop Grafana displays for mission scenarios.
- Implement automated checks for procedure and checklist standards.
- Utilize AI agents to streamline procedure development.
- Streamline analysis and remediation of CI/CD unit test failures.
Requirements
- Understand basic programming fundamentals (functions, loops, if statements, arrays).
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to learn different engineering disciplines.
Skills
- Experience with Git, GitLab, or similar configuration control tools.
- Proficiency in Python.
- Familiarity with command-line environments.
- Experience using AI agents.
- Understanding of mission operations workflows or aerospace systems.
