About the Role

We are seeking a Service Desk Administrator to join our IT team, focusing on in-office tasks to maintain smooth system operations. This role involves assembling PCs, troubleshooting hardware, deploying patches, and supporting new joiners, while providing an opportunity to learn modern IT service delivery. Our Future Health aims to transform the prevention, detection, and treatment of conditions like dementia, cancer, diabetes, heart disease, and stroke, contributing to longer, healthier lives for future generations.

Responsibilities

  • Support daily IT operations to ensure devices and systems run smoothly
  • Prepare laptops and accounts for new starters and facilitate onboarding
  • Provide first-line support for issues with M365, Windows, macOS, mobile devices, and hardware
  • Maintain accurate records in Intune, Jamf, and the ITSM platform
  • Assist with updates and patching to keep devices secure and compliant
  • Collaborate with the wider IT team to improve processes and enhance user experience

Requirements

  • Genuine interest in technology (no formal IT experience required)
  • GCSEs/A-Levels or equivalent
  • IT-related study or certifications (CompTIA, Microsoft, Apple) are a bonus
  • Customer service experience is a plus
  • A curious mindset and willingness to learn new tools and systems
  • Clear communicator able to explain technology in plain language
  • Logical problem solver who enjoys fixing things
  • Team player who collaborates well across departments
  • Calm under pressure and adaptable to change
  • Detail-oriented and thorough in record-keeping
  • Enthusiastic about growing IT skills

Skills

  • Basic knowledge of Windows 10/11
  • Basic knowledge of macOS
  • Familiarity with Microsoft 365 apps (Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint)
  • Interest in device management tools like Intune

  • Understanding of account setup
