About the Role
Deliver high-quality design, actively shape product quality and direction, evolve design systems, integrate robust UX methods, and mentor other designers to enhance overall design quality.
Responsibilities
- Utilize AI assistants and generative tools to accelerate wireframing, prototyping, design exploration, and asset creation, discerning when to rely on design intuition.
- Engage with AI-driven workflows by providing high-level design prompts, critically evaluating output, and iterating based on design expertise.
- Explore new AI-powered design approaches and actively integrate them into the design process.
- Develop and scale design systems across multiple products, including patterns, tokens, and components.
- Apply UX methods such as user research, journey mapping, and usability testing in product development.
- Structure complex or ambiguous problem spaces and derive clear UX strategies.
- Confidently present and communicate design decisions to teams and leadership.
- Mentor Junior and Mid-Level designers to improve overall design quality.
- Drive iterative product improvements based on user feedback and data.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in UI/UX design, with ideally 2+ years in a Senior or Lead role.
- Proficiency in Figma and experience with AI-powered design tools (e.g., Figma AI, Galileo, Midjourney, ChatGPT/Claude for UX texts or similar).
- Extensive experience in B2B environments with complex, data-intensive applications.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating proven experience in delivering real products.
- Experience applying UX methods to support product decisions.
- Proven experience designing AI-powered features, conversational user interfaces, and integrating AI into product workflows.
- Experience designing AI-driven workflows or integrating Large Language Model (LLM) capabilities into design processes.
- Ability to independently develop a design system across multiple products, rather than just consuming it.
- Comfortable navigating ambiguous situations, structuring complex problems, and working autonomously.
- Fluent in English.
- Open to regular business travel or ideally residing near Berlin or Cologne.
