About the Role

Infrastructure Specialists at Kyndryl are project-based subject matter experts providing analysis, documentation, and timely solutions for infrastructure challenges. This hands-on role involves analyzing problems, offering solutions, testing, modifying, automating, and integrating systems. Specialists also contribute to long-range strategic IT infrastructure planning and operational execution. The role requires a broad understanding of various platforms, offering diverse growth opportunities and early involvement in project solutions, risk identification, and client expectation management. Success is often recognized by clients requesting specialists by name, highlighting the significant impact individuals can have. This project-based position involves deep engagement throughout project lifecycles and close collaboration with Architects, Technicians, and Project Managers, ensuring continuous learning and career development.

Responsibilities

Provide analysis, documentation, and diagramming for infrastructure projects
Offer timely solutions to technical issues
Analyze problems and technical issues
Test, modify, automate, and integrate systems
Conduct long-range strategic planning of IT infrastructure
Execute IT operations
Offer solutions and assess feasibility early in projects
Identify technical and timeline risks
Deal with client expectations and internal challenges
Work closely with Architects, Technicians, and Project Managers

Requirements

Deep expertise within specific technology domain areas (e.g., software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics)
Enterprise IT application experience
Hands-on experience in at least one of the following: software development, DevOps engineering, systems administration, or systems architecture in public cloud AWS domain
In-depth knowledge of Windows and Linux Operating Systems
Experience driving for engineering solutions and working across teams
Extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
Ability to apply general rules to specific problems to produce conclusions and responses
Ability to communicate effectively, both verbal and written
Strong process improvement experience

In-depth knowledge of Amazon cloud hosting architecture (preferred)
Experience with AWS and Azure (preferred)
Exceptional judgment and decision-making abilities (preferred)
Familiarity with a variety of IT concepts, practices, and procedures (preferred)
Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models (preferred)
Logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems (preferred)
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail (preferred)
