About the Role

Deutsche Bank seeks an experienced KYC professional for the Investment Bank & Capital Markets division. This role, within the front office trade enablement function, involves working closely with bankers as a control function to detect Anti-Money Laundering (AML/TF) risks before transactions. The Transaction Coordination Group (TCG) ensures O&A clients are onboarded according to bank KYC policy standards, regulatory requirements, and tax reporting. TCG aims to build a front-to-back model focusing on monitoring, client experience, and accurate reporting via in-house systems. Responsibilities include performing client due diligence, meeting business controls, collaborating with control teams, and liaising across management levels. Intensive coordination with AFC, Compliance, and other support areas is essential for efficient and accurate due diligence for new and existing clients.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the single point of contact for bankers/clients to obtain KYC, Tax, and regulatory requirements for onboarding and periodic reviews.
  • Maintain high standards of client engagement, transparency, and client experience.
  • Review and screen documents for reliability and accuracy, adhering to policy requirements.
  • Develop a strong understanding of processes and act as a subject matter expert to support the team.
  • Engage with onshore and offshore teams, liaising with Compliance, Business, and external counterparts.
  • Identify and effectively escalate potential risks and operational issues.
  • Monitor and track exceptions to closure.
  • Build relationships through effective communication, influencing, and negotiation with business heads, senior managers, consultants, and technical experts.
  • Handle and maintain sensitive client data and documentation confidentially.
  • Stay updated with relevant regulations and industry knowledge.

Requirements

  • KYC background or prior experience in bank trade support roles.
  • Working knowledge of private side business (e.g., Corporate Finance products, Syndication/agency, Capital Markets).
  • Strong attention to detail, ability to multi-task, and produce quality work under tight deadlines with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to work with remote teams across APAC, navigate matrix reporting, and handle multiple systems simultaneously.
  • Strong sense of ownership and responsibility.
  • Awareness of Operational Risk management.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications.
