About the Role
Joining our Lifestyles (home care support) team, you will provide one-on-one support to individuals with disabilities in their own homes and accessing the community within Cronulla and surrounds. Travel between clients (up to 30 minutes) and working short, split shifts is required. To provide the best support, you will have experience supporting people with high medical needs, personal care and manual handling. You will support clients with personal care, their daily routines, community access, and domestic tasks. Casual opportunities are available with a variety of client session times (starting from 2 hours) between 6am and 8pm within Cronulla and surrounds.
Responsibilities
- Provide assistance with daily living, including personal care.
- Facilitate community access and social supports.
- Offer domestic assistance and support with household chores.
- Perform manual handling, including hoist transfers.
- Maintain and monitor person-centred plans.
- Document and keep progress notes.
Requirements
- Clear National Criminal History Record Check.
- Obtain an NDIS Worker Screening Check.
Skills
- Previous experience supporting people with disability in a home care and community setting.
- Experience in providing personal care and supporting people with high medical needs, bowel and catheter care.
- Manual handling experience, including hoist transfers.
- Strong verbal communication skills.
- Australian Drivers Licence.
- Reliable, insured vehicle.
- Current First Aid Certificate.
- Current CPR Certificate.
- Willingness to complete basic household chores.
- Passion for delivering Person-Centred care.
