About the Role
The Global Strategic Feasibility Lead develops global strategic feasibility proposals in partnership with regional teams and the global program and study management team. This role focuses on designing and delivering early to late-stage medicines development studies across global clinical operations. Responsibilities include driving high-quality strategic feasibility and site identification assessments based on standard of care, disease landscape, competitive intelligence, and data analytics. The Lead also supports the Head of Global Strategic Feasibility in optimizing processes, procedures, and systems.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for the Global Strategic Feasibility team, liaising cross-functionally for proposal delivery.
- Ensure standardization in data, tools, and processes across regions for quality decision-making.
- Partner with internal stakeholders to integrate data and provide clear feasibility recommendations.
- Strengthen data-driven trend analysis, identify root causes, and recommend solutions to accelerate study execution.
- Collaborate with global clinical program leaders and the development core team on study design optimization.
- Act as the subject matter expert in feasibility tools, technologies, databases, and platforms.
- Support modeling of strategy options using internal and external data assets and predictive models.
- Support data interpretation and operational strategy recommendations.
- Provide data-driven operational feasibility strategy, including country/site selection, patient/site allocation, and recruitment/retention recommendations.
- Contribute to implementing creative processes, methodologies, data, and technologies for ongoing service delivery.
- Lead and contribute to strategic planning meetings, training calls, and team meetings for strategy alignment and ongoing feasibility support.
- Support the Head of Global Strategic Feasibility in developing global processes and procedures, ensuring regional standardization.
- Support Global Strategic Feasibility initiatives and taskforces for continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with Applied Innovations, Data Science & Operational Excellence, and Clinical Systems & Innovation on feasibility tool development.
- Determine risk/mitigation planning for study feasibility, recruitment, and retention.
- Maintain current therapeutic area knowledge and assess its impact on operational strategies.
- Perform root cause analysis and determine mitigation steps for study execution and patient enrollment roadblocks.
- Participate in global projects representing Global Clinical Operations and Global Strategic Feasibility to support R&D goals.
- Support training and development of feasibility team members.
- Drive ownership and accountability within the team and with external stakeholders.
Requirements
- Experience with trial optimization vendors, tools, and methods.
- Proven experience in data analysis and interpretation for informed decision-making.
- Proficiency with software models and database structures.
- Expertise in principles driving country/site identification, feasibility, and study startup strategies.
- Experience managing, influencing, building relationships, and achieving results with senior partners in conflicting priority environments.
- Experience or willingness to learn developing study delivery strategies and tactical/operational plans aligned to commercial and regulatory objectives.
- Clinical trial patient and investigator recruitment and retention experience.
- Validated experience in project and budget management.
- Confirmed global working experience.
- Ability to travel as needed.
