About the Role

As part of the centralized structural design team, provide professional engineering services to support design and project delivery for telecommunication carriers. Achieve project success and SSMC profitability through a highly collaborative, best-fit approach. Monitor project demand and utilize expertise to ensure continuous service delivery. Contribute to the National Structural Design Strategy, professional standards, quality control, and continuous professional development.

Responsibilities

Undertake structural design of antenna and equipment support structures.
Review structural engineering designs by third-party consultants.
Conduct structural assessment of existing building structural elements for additional loads.
Review As-Built documentation and photos to ensure structural works comply with FC design drawings.
Undertake preliminary structural analysis (PSA) for existing structures to carry additional loads from telecommunication equipment.
Undertake all structural activities in accordance with relevant Australian standards and NCC (BCA).
Ensure safety in design principles throughout the design process.
Monitor project demand and utilize expertise to ensure continuity of service delivery.
Contribute to the National Structural Design Strategy, professional standards, quality control, and continuous professional development.

Requirements

Commitment to continuing professional development to become a chartered professional engineer with EA.
Adherence to relevant Australian standards and NCC (BCA) for all structural activities.
Application of safety in design principles throughout the design process.
