About the Role

Join the growing Tax Services team to support the delivery of Australian tax compliance and reporting services for investment funds and financial services clients. Responsibilities will vary based on experience level, encompassing preparation, review, oversight, client management, process improvement, and team mentoring within a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure accurate and timely delivery of tax reporting and compliance deliverables.
  • Prepare, review, and oversee tax compliance calculations and reporting, including BAS, IAS, AIIR, investor statements, tax returns, tax distributions, and withholding tax reporting.
  • Support preparation and review of trust, fund, corporate, and investor tax reporting requirements.
  • Assist in responding to client, auditor, regulator, and stakeholder queries.
  • Support client onboarding, transitions, restructures, and tax-related projects.
  • Assist in developing, enhancing, and maintaining tax policies, procedures, controls, and operating models.
  • Participate in testing activities, template enhancements, and process improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure adherence to operational risk, compliance, and governance requirements.
  • Mentor and support junior team members, providing technical guidance.
  • Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration, and client service excellence.

Requirements

  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, Business, Taxation, or a related discipline.
  • Experience in fund tax, corporate tax, professional practice, business services, tax advisory, financial services, or related tax compliance environments.
  • Exposure to Australian taxation principles, including trusts, managed investment trusts (MITs/AMITs), financial instruments, investment funds, superannuation, corporate tax, GST, and withholding tax obligations (highly regarded).
  • Understanding of fund accounting, financial reporting, and related operational risk and compliance requirements.
  • CA, CPA, CTA, Master's in Taxation, or equivalent professional qualification (completed, in progress, or intention to commence) (highly regarded).
  • Leadership, review, mentoring, and stakeholder management experience (highly regarded for Senior Associate and Associate Manager levels).
