About the Role
Provide high-quality, person-centered support to people with disabilities, empowering clients to live independently, achieve goals, and maintain daily wellbeing, dignity, and quality of life. This permanent part-time role involves compassionate support in a domestic setting within an Accommodation and Respite service.
Responsibilities
- Support clients with daily living tasks, including cooking, mealtimes, cleaning, and household activities
- Provide respectful and dignified personal care, such as showering and toileting
- Administer medication according to care plans
- Assist with mobility and manual handling, utilizing specialized equipment like hoists
- Monitor and document client wellbeing, reporting changes
- Collaborate with colleagues to foster a supportive team environment
Requirements
- Commitment to person-centered care
- Current NSW Driver's Licence (minimum P2)
- Ability to meet inherent physical requirements of the role
- Willingness to work a rotating roster
- NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Working With Children Check
- First Aid & CPR certification
