About the Role

Guidehouse is seeking a Data Scientist to join our AI & Data Defense and Security Segment. This role involves collecting and analyzing data to identify trends, developing visualizations to support organizational and mission goals, and assisting in decision-making for large-scale programs within the Department of Homeland Security (DHS).

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop data visualization and dashboard solutions to provide required analytics insights (Power BI)
  • Collect, clean, and analyze data using various methods and tools, such as R
  • Identify and create additional data visualization capabilities as needed
  • Ensure data governance and quality assurance standards are met
  • Conduct data validation and remediation using tools such as R and Excel
  • Analyze current processes and identify potential improvements
  • Work with team members to summarize and report on business process improvements, including identifying gaps and initiatives
  • Organize and lead client meetings, including scheduling, drafting agendas and minutes, providing documentation, and tracking action items
  • Summarize and present information and reports to the team, providing oral and written recommendations

Requirements

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Federal or DHS "PUBLIC TRUST" clearance prior to onboarding
  • Bachelors Degree
  • Three or more years of experience in consulting, data analytics, or project management
  • Candidates with an ACTIVE PUBLIC TRUST or SUITABILITY are preferred

Salary/Compensations

  • $122,000.00 - $204,000.00
