About the Role

The TEAK Fellowship is seeking an energetic TEAK alum to join a three-person team to execute the recruitment and enrollment goals under the guidance of the Director of Admissions. The Admissions and Communications Coordinator will play a vital role in helping the organization grow the program to 450 students over the next four years, providing direct support to families as they navigate the complex application process is one of the most critical aspects of the position. Interested applicants will share a passion for the mission of the organization, strong communication abilities, and meticulous organizational skills.

Responsibilities

Engage in outreach to promote The TEAK Fellowship and recruit qualified applicants.
Assist in planning and executing recruitment events, managing registrations, and confirming attendance.
Co-present at information sessions throughout NYC.
Communicate with families and school counselors throughout the admissions process.
Lead daily management of the general admissions email account.
Manage admissions inquiries from the website and phone line, following up promptly.
Create and maintain applicants’ electronic files, managing their admissions process.
Update and maintain the admissions database.
Proctor admissions testing for prospective applicants 3-5 weekends a year.
Assist with recruitment administrative tasks and processes.
Serve as a member of the Admissions Committee.
Lead and implement the Alumni Finalist Interview process.
Develop and execute social media campaigns for admissions, recruitment, development, and communications.
Create, schedule, and manage content across TEAK’s social media platforms.
Collaborate to create compelling content highlighting students, alumni, programs, events, and organizational impact.
Monitor social media performance, research emerging trends, and maintain the content calendar.
Support updating the Admissions webpage with accurate deadlines and information sessions.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree required.
TEAK Fellowship Alumni preferred.
Commitment to TEAK’s mission of educational access.
Dynamic interpersonal communication skills for diverse constituents.
Availability for a flexible schedule, including some Saturday and evening work (September-June).
Ability to prioritize with attention to detail.
Ability to travel throughout the five boroughs.
Excellent administrative, written, and interpersonal skills.
Google Suite expertise a plus.
Problem-solving skills.
Team player.
Professional proficiency in Spanish or another language preferred.
