About the Role
Provide first-line support for NYSE Group live production trading platforms, identify, troubleshoot, and escalate customer trading questions, and complete projects independently while assisting team members.
Responsibilities
- Provide daily operational support for NYSE Group Exchanges.
- Provide rotational shift support for early (2:00 am ET - 11:00 am ET) and late (11:30 am ET - 8:00 am ET) trading sessions.
- Monitor trading activity on NYSE Group Exchange systems.
- Perform first shift Trading Operation daily checkout procedures.
- Assist NYSE Group member firms with questions on order types, behavior, and routing.
- Conduct real-time surveillance of electronic trading activity across all Exchange products.
- Collaborate with System Operations and understand NYSE Group Exchanges system architecture.
- Electronically maintain activity reports for daily problems, disputes, or issues.
- Communicate with NYSE Regulation and competitor exchanges regarding erroneous trades and rulings.
- Send mass communications for market status updates or initiatives.
- Learn Exchange proprietary trading system functionality and back office support to resolve customer queries.
- Coordinate with customer technology staff and NYSE Relationship Management to set up new users and resolve ongoing customer issues.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college.
- Security licenses: Series 7, Series 63, and Series 57.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a trading environment (trader, trader’s assistant, competing exchange, or Alternative Trading System).
- Self-directed and able to work within a team environment.
- Friendly, professional telephone manner and strong interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated ability to learn quickly, work well under pressure, be flexible, creative, and pay attention to details.
- Ability to exercise independent judgment and discretion.
- Proficient verbal and written communication skills with demonstrated ability to communicate with diverse individuals.
- Client-focused, energetic, and effective working individually and as a team member.
- Possess good interpersonal skills and foster good relationships with sales team members and clients.
