About the Role
The Restaurant Manager will assist the General Manager and Assistant General Manager with the day-to-day operations of the front of house, overseeing the planning, training, and organization of the restaurant and its employees.
Responsibilities
- Maintain professional appearance standards.
- Anticipate and accommodate guest needs, providing exceptional service.
- Ensure cleanliness of front-of-house areas and the entire venue.
- Conduct interviewing, hiring, and training.
- Coach front-of-house managers and assist in their professional development.
- Ensure all guests feel welcome and receive professional service.
- Oversee adherence to Department of Health and company sanitation standards.
- Handle pressure and stress professionally.
- Possess knowledge of all front-of-house job duties.
- Certify food and drinks are prepared to restaurant standards.
- Make employee-related decisions consistent with company policies.
- Control cash and receipts according to company accounting guidelines.
- Follow supervisor instructions, communicate with, and support co-workers.
- Oversee completion of opening and closing duties to company standards.
- Train in different positions throughout the restaurant.
- Communicate product needs to the General Manager.
- Possess in-depth knowledge of all food and beverage menus.
- Communicate clearly and concisely with back-of-house employees/management during service.
- Report all breakage and damage of equipment or furniture immediately to management.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- 2 years previous experience in a high-volume restaurant/lounge.
- Must be friendly, professional, and outgoing.
- Must be able to bend and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Role may include job duties or tasks requiring repetitive motion.
- Working environment may include exposure to hot kitchen elements or cleaning materials.
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule inclusive of varying shifts such as days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
