About the Role
The Senior Financial Accountant will provide specialist accounting and financial support, ensuring statutory, tax, and management reporting requirements are met for Theatrical businesses.
Responsibilities
- Manage mark-up intercompany recharges and invoicing at month end for sub-entities.
- Review bank reconciliations for all entities.
- Assist with month end, quarter end, and year end processes.
- Assist in training and management of overseas third-party support, Accenture.
- Manage overhead and other accruals, including preparation of Overheads Management Summary for Managing Director.
- Assist with cash flow analysis and forecasting for all entities.
- Assist with reporting for the Warner Bros Licensee deal and any licensee deal audits.
- Maintain and reconcile balance sheet accounts with appropriate supporting documentation for GBS/Blackline reconciliations.
- Maintain fixed asset register.
- Support and assist in coordination of annual statutory audit process, working with external auditor Deloitte.
- Prepare BAS and FBT returns and lodge them on time.
- Assist with WHT reconciliation and reporting.
- Review and approve travel and entertainment claims in Concur.
- Submit quarterly ABS surveys.
- Undertake all other duties as allocated by the Group Financial Controller or the Senior Finance Managers.
- Conduct accounting analysis as required.
- Ensure on-going self-development.
Requirements
- Recently qualified or almost qualified accountant (CA, CPA, or equivalent).
- Strong understanding of accounting and financial management, including month end processes and fixed assets.
- Good reconciliation, analysis, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience working in a team and supporting the business with appropriate accounting and financial information.
- Experience of working with Accounts Receivable.
- Experience working within a group of companies dealing with multiple recharges between entities.
- Good computer literacy, strong Excel and SAP experience.
- Fast learner and excellent attention to detail.
- Very good interpersonal & communication skills – ability to deal with people at all levels.
- Good organisational skills and follow up of outstanding issues.
- Hands on, confident, self-starter.
