About the Role

Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, monitor, and deliver new features and improvements to products.
- Lead the team's backlog, identify engineering improvements, challenge technical decisions, and drive design and architecture.
- Be involved in the operational side of a highly available microservice architecture, including on-call rotation.
- Tackle varied and challenging problems daily, demonstrating flexibility, a data-driven focus on quality, and quick learning ability.
- Take responsibility for tasks, including building new functionality, developing automated tests, and investigating issues with high attention to detail.
- Utilize a variety of AI tools for enhanced productivity and contribute to Cisco's growth by applying AI in new scenarios.
- Mentor and train fellow engineers to help them get up to speed and grow their skills.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience programming, primarily in C++.
- 5+ years of experience technically leading similar product development.
- Significant experience with Linux.
- Experience with virtualisation and containers (such as Docker or Kubernetes).
- Familiarity with Git, DevOps, continuous integration, continuous delivery.
- Knowledge of networks and networking protocols (such as TCP/IP and HTTP).
- Willingness to learn new languages quickly as needed.
