As a Software Engineer II: AI Compiler Engineer, you will work with complex high-performance SoCs and contribute to an AI graph compiler that optimizes Neural Networks (NNs) from frameworks like PyTorch or TensorFlow into executable code for specialized and embedded platforms. Responsibilities
- Develop a deep learning compiler stack that converts neural network descriptions (CNNs/RNNs) from frameworks such as Caffe, PyTorch, TensorFlow, etc., into optimized code for special-purpose and embedded platforms.
- Utilize modern compiler frameworks like LLVM and MLIR.
- Develop optimized implementations of neural network operations and integrate them into a runtime framework.
- Develop new optimization techniques and algorithms for mapping CNNs onto Xtensa processors and specialized hardware.
- Benchmark end-to-end network performance on DSP and special-purpose accelerator platforms.
- Enhance the framework to improve functionality and performance on various hardware platforms.
- Devise multiprocessor/multicore partitioning and scheduling strategies.
- Develop complex programs to validate the functionality and performance of the CNN application programming kit.
- Collaborate with hardware designers to identify opportunities for hardware acceleration of neural network functions.
- Work with industry-leading partners and customers to design and standardize neural network APIs.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- 3-5+ years of experience with C and C++ programming.
- Expertise in software development on Linux and Windows systems, including test, debug, and release.
- Knowledge of and experience with state-of-the-art compiler stacks such as LLVM and MLIR.
- Experience implementing compilation techniques like loop optimization, polyhedral models, and IR construction/transition/lowering techniques.
