About the Role
The Business Development Representative (BDR) role at Braze is at the forefront of identifying, understanding, and helping potential customers build, enhance, or transform their customer engagement offerings. BDRs grow into skilled commercial players, acting as trailblazers in identifying target accounts, developing outreach campaigns, engaging C-suite prospects, demonstrating Braze's value, and qualifying early-stage deals. This multi-faceted role is kept fresh by daily priorities such as building account strategies, conducting discovery calls, meeting with leaders, building personalized email sequences, and attending events to generate new leads, with the ultimate goal of creating high-quality relationships that transform into new business opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Research accounts and develop a communication plan via phone, email, LinkedIn, and video to generate new business opportunities.
- Manage own meetings and bring in internal stakeholders as needed.
- Conduct high-level conversations with C-suite executives about their business goals, customer engagement, and marketing challenges.
- Understand and qualify opportunities.
- Deliver value-oriented pitches and solution demonstrations.
- Meet outreach KPIs, set meetings, and carry out discovery and qualification.
- Identify target accounts.
- Develop email and phone campaigns.
- Engage C-suite prospects.
- Demonstrate the value of Braze.
- Qualify early stage deals.
- Build account strategies with Account Executives.
- Conduct discovery phone calls.

- $75,000 - $90,000/year OTE (On Target Earnings)
