About the Role
The Stylist engages with guests to provide professional hair care services, consultations, and product recommendations. This role focuses on delivering high-quality salon experiences while supporting store performance, guest loyalty, and operational standards.
Responsibilities
- Perform hair services including design, haircuts, color, texture, treatments, styling, updos, perms, blowouts, extensions, makeup applications, and ear piercing.
- Meet or exceed weekly sales and productivity goals for hair services.
- Perform product demonstrations to drive sales and enhance the guest experience.
- Support in-store events, promotions, and marketing initiatives.
- Stay informed on industry trends, products, and services.
- Develop guest relationships through consultations and personalized recommendations.
- Maintain high standards of customer service and salon image.
- Collaborate with skin therapists and the retail team to provide a total-store experience.
- Promote the guest loyalty program and mobile app.
- Attend mandatory trainings and meetings.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety, sanitation, and state board guidelines.
- Utilize booking and clientele systems for return services and events.
- Communicate supply needs to management.
- Maintain cleanliness of the salon and store areas.
- Adhere to company dress code and loss prevention best practices.
Requirements
- Cosmetology license.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Frequent mobility during shift.
- Continuous lifting and/or moving up to 10 lbs.
- Frequent stooping, kneeling, bending, reaching, twisting, and crouching.
- Ability to stand for long periods of time.
- Continuous and/or frequent coordination and manipulation of objects.
Skills
- Proficiency in latest salon techniques for haircutting, color, styling, and treatments.
- Aptitude to learn and communicate product knowledge.
- Proficiency with salon equipment and chemicals.
- Ability to demonstrate, recommend, and sell hair care and makeup products.
- Developed communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships and clientele.
Experience Level
- Previous relevant salon experience is preferred.
Education Level
- Cosmetology license
