About the Role
As a Strategic Buyer (m/w/d), you will significantly shape our procurement strategy for non-prescription products (OTC), prescription drugs (RX), health and care items, and other pharmacy-related product ranges for the DACH region. You will conduct key negotiations, optimize conditions, and build long-term partnerships with leading manufacturers and suppliers in the industry.
Responsibilities
- Develop and successfully implement purchasing strategies.
- Conduct annual and conditional negotiations with manufacturers, with a special focus on central KPIs such as purchase discounts, bonuses, and payment terms.
- Analyze and optimize KPI-based control variables such as margin, sales development, delivery performance, and sales dynamics.
- Identify growth and margin potentials in the product range and align them with company goals.
- Work closely with Retail Media, Category Management, and Demand & Supply to derive and implement joint measures.
- Monitor and analyze market and competitor developments as a basis for strategic decisions.
- Build and continuously maintain sustainable, partnership-based relationships with manufacturers.
Requirements
- Completed degree in a commercial field or a comparable commercial apprenticeship.
- Several years of experience in strategic purchasing, ideally in the RX, OTC/Freiwahl, or FMCG (Health & Beauty) sector.
- Persuasiveness and extensive experience in price and condition negotiations with manufacturers.
- Strong analytical skills in dealing with key figures and reports, combined with a pragmatic approach.
- Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint.
- Good English skills, both written and spoken.
