About the Role

This position is created specifically for the 2026 Canada Summer Jobs program, running for 8 weeks from June 29, 2026, to August 21, 2026. The Human Resources Clerk will provide assistance to all areas within the Human Resources department under the supervision of the Human Resources Manager and team.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Human Resources team
  • Maintain and update manual and computerized filing and registration systems
  • Compile and prepare reports and documents relating to personnel activities
  • Respond to telephone and written enquiries from staff and the general public regarding personnel matters
  • Manage own workload, ensuring deadlines are met and requests are dealt with in a timely manner
  • Resolve position and department problems quickly and efficiently
  • Assist with special projects as needed
  • Perform other related duties as required

Requirements

  • All applicants must meet eligibility guidelines as specified by Service Canada
  • Must be between 15 and 30 years of age at the beginning of the employment period
  • Must be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act for the duration of the employment
  • Must have a valid Social Insurance Number at the start of employment
  • Must be legally entitled to work in Canada in accordance with relevant provincial or territorial legislation and regulations
  • Successful candidates must provide a complete and current Vulnerable Sector Check (including a Criminal Background Check) or be willing to obtain one
